december already?

Well, thanksgiving has past, and I'm feeling the christmas spirit. I absolutely LOVEEE it. I love christmas. I love the smells, the lights, getting gifts for people(and for myself, i know im so selfish), comfy pajamas, time with friends and family, and im also very excited me and Jord get to go home to OMAHA on the 20th! Woo-hoo! Jordan is really really sad that all the brothers won't be there because he said he's scared he is just going to be shopping all the time (not true). I do feel a little bad for him because he loves all the brothers and i'm sad he won't have Ben to chat it up with all day about sports. BUT nonetheless, omaha will be glorious. Jordan and I are making the move to rexburg pretty soon. Time has flown since we have been married! I am a little anxious about moving, a new apartment, trying to find a job and starting school again, but I know it will all workout.

Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving, and is having fun preparing for the greatest holiday ever. I missed the grateful train, so as for what I am grateful for: everything. i am so overly-blessed it's pretty crazy. During this time of the year I start to think about people who literally have no one, no home, no food (i see them walking around here in reno) and it makes my heart hurt. I've been trying to be a better person and donate to the salvation army every time i see one, so thats my humanitarian effort so far, hopefully it will become larger as time goes on.

love to you all

The happiest day of your life

Last night Jordan and I were reminising about old times, and about some times from our wedding. I told him that the happiest moment I can remember from the wedding is when I woke up next to him that first morning and realized I would get to do that every day for the rest of my life. It's been over 4 months, and I can still say that waking up next to Jordan every morning still gives me that same feeling.. and all you pessimists who say "oh, give it a year" well, i'm not falling for that. I love Jord too too much.

unexpected expenses.

I pulled into my parking spot at work today, and I noticed there was smoke coming out of the hood of my car. I went in and got a guy I work with (guys know about cars usually). He said that my radiator was over-heating. I starting twirling my hair and said, "So like.. is that ..like.. bad?" no, im kidding. I was kind of sad about the whole event. My mother in law Lynda picked me up from work and i paid a nice gentleman 55 dollars(my total earnings of the lunch shift at p.f changs) to tow my car the a little repair shop. There hasn't been any word yet of the cost of repairs, im hoping its under 200 bucks.
In other news, I am all registered for classes for this coming COLD winter in rexburg. I am a little nervous about going to school AND having a job. I know that sounds snobby, but i have never done that because i have loving parents who didnt want me to suffer through school and didn't mind paying for groceries. This is not the case anymore, although my parents are still very loving) I am officially an adult.. so i guess that means i have to have a job? Darn.
Here's a picture for your viewing pleasure, as my friend Sara Salmon said on one of her posts, its not fun to look at blogs unless theres a picture. I searched for a picture of Me and Jordan almost exactly a year ago to the date, when we were still just youngans faling in love. I found this one of us with some friends at Big Judd's Burgers in Rexburg,
much love to you all.

Big purchases..

So this morning we signed up for an apartment to rent this coming semester in Rexburg. I feel very anxious about acutally having to pay for a place to live, it seems very foregin to me. We had to sign a year lease to get into the apartment, which sucks because we will hopefully be in subsidized housing by summer or fall, in which case we will have to find someone to occupy the apartment. It might seem weird, but the purchase was a big deal for me.
I am a little nervous about this coming semester. Taking 16 credits, working part time, and trying to get good time in with Jord. He is the only person I really care about seeing most of the time, so when I don't get to see him I can get pretty down. It is crazy how fast time is going.. just a second ago we were getting married and now it has been like 4 months or something crazy like that.. Oh how time flies.

I left my <3 in San Francisco...

This weekend we went to san fran!! We stayed in Oakland with our friends Sam and Marielle Hayes (the best hosts ever). It was soo much fun. I love the city, I told Jordan I would love to live there someday. We drove up thursday night (its only 3and a half hours so its not bad at all). Friday we rode the BART (Bay area transportation) into san francisco. The Bart is sort of the bar areas version of a subway. We walked around the city and shopped for a few hours, and then took the trolley over to pier 39. We ate at Boudin's for lunch (jordan is obsessed with their clam chowder) and then we took the ferry over to alcatraz, which was so fun and interesting! After alcatraz we hung around fisherman's warf, took a stroll over to ghiradelli square and got some yummy chocolate, and then for dinner we ate a the fog city diner which was very delicious! We were pretty beat by the end of the night so we ended up heading back to oakland around 9ish.

Saturday morning we drove to the California Academy of the Sciences, which was very cool. It is the most green museum in the U.S.. pretty much everything is recycled or solar powered. We explored there for a while and then headed back to union square for more shopping:) I must say I got some fabulous new clothes and accessories. Jordan was so patient and caring to let me shop as much as i did:) It was POURING down rain on saturday so we couldn't really walk around a whole lot. We headed back to Sam and Marielles and we all went out to dinner at Zachary's famous deep-dish pizza which was so delicous, and the company was great too, we had SO much fun hanging with Sam and Marielle, we wish we lived closer so we could hang out more! After exploring some of Berkeley, we headed back to Sam and Marielles' and ate delicious sugar cookies (Marille is QUITE the cook:) )

Sunday, we went to church right by the Oakland temple (which is goregous). We got to see some really great views from the temple parking lot. After church we walked around Berkeley some more, saw a lot of Gay people, and just soaked in the hippie vibes.

The FUNNIEST thing happened while we were walking out of the house one morning. Jordan and I were running to the car because it was raining. Once we were in the car I saw someone walking into the house (Sam and Marielle rent thier basement to three guys from the singles ward there) .. it was Aaron Taylor!! I immediately called Marielle and was like "does aaron taylor live in your basement?!?" Sure enough, he does. What a small, small world. Also, Sam said that him and Ben were in the MTC together both going to the Phillipines! (Megan if you are reading this, tell Ben the news).

So, now its back to reality, but I am SO glad we got to make this little trip! It was so so much fun to finally get to visit San Fran, and to be able to see Marielle, Sam, Hadley, and their cute dog Brody(that we wanted to take home with us).

that's all for now. Here are some pictures for your enjoyment. (My hair was so crazy curly the whole time because of the rain!!)
